School days are here again

School has started for the Pratt kids! Well, at least three of them. =)
Andrew is now in 3rd grade and Katie is in 1st grade. Its become a tradition to take pictures on our porch on their first day.

Joshua started preschool this fall. He is doing well and loves having his own "school" to go to twice a week!

Preschool is just down the street from us, and Adam and Josh walked to school on his first day. Adam captured this photo of them holding hands on the way:

I love my three little students!

I also love my sweet little Emily!

Bullseye, or there abouts...

Just a quick update for tonight on one of Andrew's new fall activities, archery. After he spends all day Wednesday at the Greenhouse (classical, Christian homeschool co-op), he stays an extra hour in the afternoon at an archery class. Andrew can take a while to warm up to new things, but he came home from this new adventure just beaming.

I'm not sure if any of Andrew's arrows made it close the center, but he had a great time at his first class.

Janlee and Zach Engagement

If I could quit my day job...I'd be a photographer. I did an engagement shoot last night for our house guest, Janlee, and her fiancé, Zach, and I had a blast. They have both become wonderful friends to our family and we're sad to think Janlee is going to move out in a few weeks. Good news for her is that she'll be married to a great guy.

We're grateful to be invited to their wedding and our whole family is looking forward to the event. I've been observing and practicing because I'm also going to shoot their wedding along with another photographer. Exciting and sobering. Gulp!

Here's more of Zach and Janlee.
