Brielle + Tyler: Wedding

Brielle and Tyler's wedding day was one of the most fun and joyful celebrations I've ever witnessed. Their ceremony was clearly a worship service dedicated to reminding everybody that their new covenant is rooted in their faith in Jesus. It's a thrill to watch a little boy grow into an honorable man and find a beautiful bride like Brielle. One of the Joys of Summer

I love summer. Plain and simple, I love this time of the year. I'm good with hot weather (even this week's 100 degree temps), the relaxed and sometimes lazy schedule, trips to the pool, no school, our summer recipes, and ice cream treats more often. Enjoy the photos of Emily, Josh and Katie loving their ice cream cones on our deck!

The Cobbler's kids have shoes!

We found another cobbler, our good friends Tim and Asharae, to do a family photo session with us a few weeks ago. They were in town to shoot a wedding and we had the privilege of hosting them for the week, so one night we headed out to Cantigny and they captured these beautiful images for us. Andrew Turns Ten

Our oldest son, Andrew, turned ten years old today and we're grateful that the Lord has blessed us with such wonderful and healthy children. As Andrew gets older we're seeing him grow in so many ways: service of others, love for reading, writing, and poetry, witty sense of humor, and his ability to overlook small offenses from small siblings.

Andrew celebrated his birthday with breakfast in bed, a party with friends, and a family dinner with sushi. We're so grateful for Andrew and pray that God gives us grace and wisdom to raise him up well.
