Berry Picking

We're finally home from Paris after a great trip! I shot over 10 gigabytes of images, so the chances of me sorting through those and posting them on the blog in a timely fashion are pretty slim. In the meantime, here are a few shots from our adventures this evening. Cindy was out with a friend for coffee, so I took the kids to pick mulberries.

Katie really got into picking the berries because there were a few low branches that she could reach. Here's Katie showing off one of her first finds:

The temptation is terrible: keep or eat!

A few mulberries actually made it home, so we'll have those on cereal in the morning.

Mom and Dad in Paris

Hey kids,

Mom and Dad are having a great time in Paris. We miss all of you very much, but thought you'd enjoy these pictures of the Eiffel Tower. Here's a great photo of mom holding Andrew's picture in front of the real Eiffel Tower:

This evening we took a walk after dinner and saw how beautiful it is with all the lights.

Last, here's a nice photo of your beautiful mother in front of the Eiffel Tower.

We'll post more photos later this week, but it's very late now and I need to wake up in a few hours for a long day of work.

Love and miss you all,
Daddy and Mommy

Joshua is 2!

Joshua turned 2 years old on May 19. He spent his birthday riding in the car as we drove home from Cleveland, Ohio. He is a good little traveler, so he didn't complain! Once we were back in Wheaton, we all enjoyed dinner at Qdoba, a great little Mexican restaurant, and then had birthday cake at home. He really liked his cake!

He also really likes his brother, Andrew and sister, Katie.

Lest you think we deprived our third child of a "real" celebration, we had a party for him on May 18 while we were still in Cleveland. Cindy's parents live there and graciously opened their home for a family party. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunts and uncles, friends and the kids' great-grandma were all there to celebrate Josh turning 2. It was a fun time with family.

We love you, little 2-year-old Josh!
